Denture Information

Dentures need to be replaced

Every thing you have and see around you has an expiry date. Dentures are functional appliances that are continuously in use. They are either opposing synthetic teeth or natural teeth and will obviously come to continuous contact and regardless of how little pressure denture wearers believe they apply, friction will still defiantly occurs. If you’re a denture wearer, dentures are an essential part of your life. They will be used daily, every time you eat and everyday 7 day a week and obviously for years. As a practitioner I would suggest that dentures be replaced every 5 to 6 years however it is common for some of my colleagues to suggest that Dentures should be replaced at least every 3 years due to the dimensional and ridge size depleting constantly. It is only inevitable that all dentures are going to be stable and appropriately functional for duration, consistent to the denture use and user antics. However there are intermediary processes that can be applied in between new denture stages that would be a less costly event. However, having new custom made denture, to perfectly your physiological dimensions and facial aesthetics will ultimately provide you with the confidence you need to get through life. Old dentures can be replaced with new dentures giving you the opportunity to not only brighten your smile, but also make you look and feel years younger.

Premature aging
Inferior dentures wear excessively and can lead to increased wrinkles around the mouth and cheeks
