Denture Cleansers
When patients receive their completed and handcrafted dental appliances, they will notice the highly polished surface on the denture. It is vital for the patients to be informed of the importance of the polish existing. The polish that is evident on the dental appliances is to help prevent stains, tartar, and plaque accumulation. In some case, several toothpastes and other abrasive products can rapidly tear down the polished surface. However, It must be understood by the patients that, to maintain this polished surface there are a number amount of specific products on the market that are specially formulated to successfully and safely clean you dental appliances.
Some home ‘do-it-yourself’ methods are:

Fill a container with half cool tap water and half vinegar. Give the cool tap water/vinegar combination a mix and then leave the dental appliances in the container for 20 – 30 minutes.

Using a container, put 2 tablespoons of baking soda and a half a cup of cool tap water. Then leave your dental appliances in the container for 20 – 30 minutes.

Put cool tap water and a denture cleaning solution (Efferdent or Polident) in a container and leave dental appliance in the container for 15 minutes. (Read back of the commercial product for further instructions)
NOTE: Remember to rinse you dental appliance before placing them back into you mouth
